Pandemonium was the fourth album from The Time after a six year absence from the studio and was released to coincide with their appearance in the film Graffiti Bridge. At this point in time Prince was still heavily involved in the songwriting and performance but his contributions were officially limited to about a third of the album as opposed to his usual dominance on this group/5(51).

Pandemonium was the most collaborative album to be recorded by the Time, with all of the members of the live band contributing playing to the album for the first time.
